^ I forgot to offer Tim a big thanks for his work in putting this together.

One more note, I do have my SATA hard drive attached to a purple SATA port. I have tried it connected to an orange port, also no luck.

This was my first attempt at getting a Hackintosh running, and I'm almost there. I can install SL on a 965P-DS3, but here's the caveat - only on a USB drive.

For some reason, the installer/Disk Utility refuses to recognize my SATA hard drive. Am I doing something absolutely stupid ?

thanks for the excellent review. I just bought a Panny Lumix FZ35 and just tried to import the AVCHD files. Major pain, spent hours thinking about how to do it.

Without a doubt, using MJPEG is going to be my solution.

Thanks again.

There could literally be a LOT of issues why the OSX install doesn't work on your DS3. Most of them I am sure root from your DSDT. I would recommend getting that in order - InsanelyMac is an amazing resource and fount of information.

Ah, yeah Changes is pretty good too. I like how the scrolling happens in tandem on Changes.

That being said, filemerge is free :)
